8 NOV: Last Touch

Morning: Cultural Immersion Part 2

•  Shanxi Province Historic Museum
•  Xi’an circumvallation tour

7 NOV: Back to Qin Dynasty

We tried to make terracotta army figures before heading to the museum. Through the briefing of hands on session and introduction of tour guide in the museum, we have known more about Qin Dynasty and terracotta army. 

We have visited Da Yan Ta in the evening. Through the visit, we have gained our understanding on Buddhism!

6 NOV: A Learning Point for Us

We had an 1 hour lesson in a local primary school as our VIA activity. Besides teaching English, the students shared different topics about Singapore, such as tourist attractions, local food and school CCAs. We had also donated books and stationaries to the students.

Before the trip, we aimed to have a fruitful lesson which can make an impact to the local students. We worked  hard towards the target during preparation and we finally did it! We tasted satisfaction in our lessons as the responses from the students are overwhelming . (#AimHighActNow)

We were impacted in the VIA as well. During debrief session, we shared our feelings and were happily found out that we shared a same thought - to appreciate our lives in Singapore.

In the afternoon, we had sight-seeing in the city. 

7 NOV: Xi'an and Her History - Terracotta Army

Sightseeing and city-tour:

6 NOV: Happiness is in Giving

Morning: VIA Programme

• Location: A primary school at Zhou Zhi, a destitute place.
• Activity:

o   Donation of Books and stationeries.

o   Sharing of Singapore’s culture

o   Games and activities

Afternoon: Sightseeing and city-tour

• Shuyuan Gate
• Bell Tower and Drum Tower square
• Muslim Street
• Grand Mosque

Evening: After dinner: Watch dance performance《仿唐乐舞》

5 NOV: A Learning Experience

We had a fruitful school immerssiom at Sunshine Middle School in the morning. We are warmly welcomed by the school and we had made new friends!
